Art-o-Pause: Breaking the Stigma of Menopause through Art!

Art-o-Pause

What do you think when you hear the word menopause? Why is it a dirty word in our society? Why aren’t we taught or shown how to move into and through this stage in our lives with positivity and empowerment? Why aren’t we encouraged to embrace it and to see how powerful and wise our bodies are?

In this full day workshop, we will explore, through art,  where our bodies are at in this journey, whether we are peri, meno-, or post- menopausal. Some of us may not even know WHAT our bodies are doing or what stage we are at! This workshop is meant to be fun, creative, and to break the stigma around menopause through art and the company of  awesome women.

Through some guided conversations, art warm ups and mini lessons, you will gain some tools to help you express this internal journey onto a canvas.   All art supplies are provided -- just bring yourself, a  lunch, and an open mind!

Elpida coffee and  various teas served.

Min. 4, max 6 people per session.

Cost is $100 per person. 11am-5pm

Why does it feel so good to break things? People are often judged for their emotions and reactions.  Here is your opportunity to feel what you want then make some cool art.

This is a 2 day mosaics workshop where you can vent all your frustrations out by breaking things, or just calmly sift through the bits that are already broken...then make something beautiful out of it all...just like we do with life.

Day 1 is the lesson, brainstorming and creating using glass, tiles, pottery, and miscellaneous bits.

Day 2 is the grouting and revelation process.

All art supplies are provided -- just bring yourself, a  lunch, and an open mind!

Elpida coffee and  various teas served.
